historical construction equipment association
I've had the opportunity to design the logo for this organization as well as design advertisements, t-shirts, posters and signs. These have included original pen and ink illustrations of the client's preference because in the era these machines were being built and used, ink illustrations were used in books and magazines instead of photos, which were more difficult to reproduce.
logo
This illustration includes an ink illustration in a style reminiscent of the 1940s when many books were written for and about the construction industry. The client chose his three favorite pieces of equipment and asked that I sketch them and place them in a realistic setting considering their use, but one that would also fit the logo layout.
Ink Illustrations in 40s Style, Historical Construction Equipment Association
These illustrations are reminiscent of a style of the 1940s when many books were written for and about the construction industry. Over several years we designed several items that incorporated these illustrations. For the main logo, the client chose his three favorite pieces of equipment and asked that I sketch them and place them in a realistic setting considering their use, but one that would also fit the logo layout.
