westbrook pharmacy
I designed this logo for one of my print broker customers, which contains an original illustration and is to be used on a pocket folder and informational inserts the pharmacy would begin to distribute, as well as new business cards, prescription pads and the like.
logo
This logo was generated after much discussion of what was common in terms of icons and phrases used by pharmacists. In the end we decided to go with the mortar and pestle so it would be easily recognizable, and to emphasize the personal service the pharmacy offers.

mortar and pestle illustration
Of all the mortars and pestles out there, I couldn't find the one I wanted to use for this logo, so I drew it, then scanned and tightened it up.

pocket folder
I had an idea for this pocket folder from the beginning, simple and clean, so the little row of images would really stand out. It depended on finding the right photo of a morrtar and pestle on a white background with a shadow. I didn't find that image, but I did find a mortar and pestle from which I could remove the background and add my own shadow in PhotoShop.
inserts
The "doctors" are stock photos, and all the products are scanned from medical catalogs. I wrote the incidental copy. There were five flyers in all, with room for more designs.
